Chick'n Mushroom Soup
Privacy & EULA
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
1. Who we are
Team Sermath ("we", "us") is a game studio. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Privacy contact: info@teamsermath.com
This policy covers our website and every game we publish. Section 4 lists what the website and each game collect; the other sections apply to all of them.
2. Where this policy applies
Our games are sold on Steam. This policy covers what our games, our website and our own services do with your data. It does not cover the platforms and services our games run on top of, such as Steam, beyond saying what we send them. Each of those has its own policy, linked in Section 6.
3. Children
Our games and website are not directed at children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent where you live, if higher), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has used one of our games or our website and we hold their data, write to info@teamsermath.com and we will delete it.
4. What we collect
Our website
- Hosting: our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser information to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
- Visit statistics: Vercel Web Analytics counts visits to the website: the page, the site that linked to it, your country, and your browser, operating system and device type. It sets no cookies. Visitors are told apart by a code made from the request, which changes every day, so it cannot recognise you on later days. We only see totals.
- Videos: trailers are played from YouTube, in its privacy-enhanced mode, and load only when you press play. From then on YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and browser information under Google's policy.
- Email to us: if you write to us, we keep your message and address for as long as we need to answer it.
- The website does not set cookies and does not use advertising trackers. It remembers your light or dark theme choice, and which of the site's easter eggs you have found, in your browser; that is never sent to us.
All our games
- Valve / Steam: every game we publish is sold and runs through Steam. Steam handles your Steam account, achievements and play time, and in online games the lobbies and connections between players.
- Saves: a game that saves locally keeps its save files on your computer. It may name the save folder after your Steam ID so that several Steam accounts on one computer keep separate saves. Local saves are not sent to us.
- Discord (Rich Presence): some of our games show what you are doing in the game on your Discord profile, only while Discord is running on your computer.
- A game does not use analytics or send data to Team Sermath unless it has its own section below.
5. Why we process this data, and on what basis
In all our games, Steam relies on the performance of a contract (providing the game you bought), and Discord Rich Presence on our legitimate interest; it only runs while Discord is open, and Discord lets you switch it off.
On our website, hosting, visit statistics and answering your emails rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving the site and in replying to you. A YouTube video is loaded only because you pressed play.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the companies whose services our games and website run on, and only as described in Section 4:
Valve Corporation — Privacy policy
Discord Inc. — Privacy policy
Vercel Inc. (website hosting and visit statistics) — Privacy policy
Google LLC (YouTube, only when you play a video) — Privacy policy
These companies may process data outside the country you live in, including outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the safeguards those companies provide, such as standard contractual clauses.
7. Your rights and how to use them
Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU/EEA and UK, CCPA/CPRA in California, and similar laws elsewhere), you have the right to:
- ask what data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- object to or restrict some processing;
- withdraw consent (for a game's analytics: the setting named in that game's section);
- take your data with you in a portable format;
- complain to your data protection authority (in the EU, your national authority).
To use these rights, email info@teamsermath.com with the Steam display name you play under. We will answer within one month. We may ask you to prove the account is yours.
On a deletion request we delete the data we hold about you.
We do not discriminate against you for using any of these rights.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with the providers named above. Only Team Sermath staff who need it to support our games and website have access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Changes
We will update this page when what our games or website collect changes, and change the date at the top. Material changes to a game's data use are also announced in that game's Steam news.
End User License Agreement
Last updated: 15 September 2026
1. About this agreement
This agreement is between you and Team Sermath and covers Chick'n Mushroom Soup (the "Game"), including its updates and online features. By installing or playing the Game you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not install or play the Game.
Our games are sold on Steam, so the Steam Subscriber Agreement also applies to how you buy, download and access the Game through Steam.
2. Your license
The Game is licensed, not sold. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and play the Game through your Steam account for your own non-commercial entertainment.
3. What you may not do
- copy, sell, rent, lend, sublicense or otherwise distribute the Game or any part of it;
- decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the Game, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
- cheat, exploit bugs, or use unauthorised software to gain an advantage in online play or on leaderboards;
- interfere with our servers, online services or other players' games;
- harass, threaten or abuse other players;
- remove or change any copyright, trademark or other notice in the Game.
4. Videos and streams
You may stream the Game and publish videos and screenshots of it, including on monetised channels, as long as you do not suggest that Team Sermath endorses you or your content.
5. Online features
Some of our games use online services, such as multiplayer, cloud saves and leaderboards. These services may change, be interrupted, or end. We may remove leaderboard entries and restrict access to online features for anyone who breaks this agreement.
6. Ownership
The Game and everything in it (code, art, music, characters and text) belongs to Team Sermath or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Third-party components in the Game are used under their own licenses.
7. Privacy
What the Game collects and how we use it is described in our Privacy Policy, above on this page.
8. Updates
We may update the Game to fix problems, add or change content, or keep online features working. Steam may install these updates automatically.
9. Ending the agreement
You can end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Game. Your license ends automatically if you break this agreement. Sections 6, 10, 11 and 12 continue after it ends.
10. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the Game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will be free of errors or that online features will always be available. Nothing in this agreement limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Team Sermath is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from the Game. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the Game. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Your local rights
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, and may bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow.
13. Changes
We may update this agreement. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If you keep playing after a change, the updated agreement applies.
